We have the Rutabaga Dirtbags opening. These guys showcase heart pounding, raw originals and a deft fusion of classic hits.
Second act featuring The Coastal Drifters. An all Indigenous band raised in the Kitselas nation. They are an energetic, raw, rock n’ roll band of original tunes.

Keith Scott is a celebrated blues musician personality who has been at his craft for the last 30 years. Originally from White Plains, N.Y, he made it to college in Gainesville, Florida, where he met Muddy Waters and Bo Diddley. With the inspiration of his music heroes, he proceeded to relocate to Chicago to pursue his musical Journey. Keith currently tours, records, and performs his own brand of blues-inspired music at clubs, including House of Blues, Hard Rock Cafe and festivals throughout the US and Canada.

This casual fundraiser for our SkeenaWild Education Program will be stacked with a seriously talented crew of musicians who will be jammin’ for the salmon. We will share with you all about our new Education Program for K-12 students in schools across the Skeena Watershed. There will be a silent auction featuring local photography from past SkeenaWild Photo Contest participants, SkeenaWild merchandise and more.. Emaline Delepaix is an Australian singer, composer and musician who lives in Berlin Germany with her big orange Canadian cat Reece. She spends a lot of time writing intense folk pop for piano, acoustic guitar, Celtic harp and sometimes whatever else she has lying around the place. Some say she sounds a little like Kate Bush or Tori Amos, but she also loves a lot of Scandinavian music; music that involves the weather like storms and warm sunsets. Emaline’s music explores the human condition and thought-provoking topics such as mental health, animal rights, feminism, sexuality as well as love, nature and adventure out on the open road.

THE ALKEMIST
A dynamic one man band from Northern BC who weaves dark and enchanting instrumental soundscapes with high energy, fist pumpin’ boot stompers. His diverse melodies are infused with a variety of instruments, such as guitar, banjo, fiddle, and drone flute, while he keeps a thumpin’ rhythm with a kick drum, crash cymbal and a bone rattle boot. With a visually stunning live set and a full sonic experience, the Alkemist is sure to captivate audiences of all ages.
RUSTY MOULD & THE SUGAR AGATES:
They were discovered in the bog near Masset, Haida Gwaii, where they lived on the dash of an old abandoned car seeking waves to slide down. Seb Dalgarno (guitar and vocals) brings songs without words, Quinlan Fennel (bass) locates the groove, Finlay Smith (guitar/vocals/fiddle) adds noodles to the sauce, and Marcus Alexander (drums) counts to 1 and 2 and 3 and 4. Together, the sound is a mix of bog-swing and funk-grass, in a double dose for those groovier than most.

Meet Canadian roots music artist and snowboarding pioneer Lester Quitzau, a mellow guy who throws down a heavy groove. In a field where intangibles like feel and integrity count for so much, Quitzau has forged an exemplary career. Distilling the experience of the past 25 years of writing, recording and performing his music, Lester has come up with an approach that is his own. His unique style and fluidity on slide, acoustic and electric guitars, coupled with his well crafted songs and warm vocals, are the fruits of this musical journey. Many of his followers have watched his career with love and loyalty in what began as a solid traditional folk/ blues foundation, that has branched out into myriad of influences and a sound that is his own.

Based out of Smithers, BC, The Racket has gained a substantial following throughout BC’s Northwest in their seven years as a trio and have toured all over the rest of the province, giving them the experience to know damn well how to get a dance floor (or dirt field) grooving. From their original music, you can expect steady rock grooves, tight rhythms, and foot-stomping folk, along with subtle elements of jazz. Everything these boys do it topped of with a large dose of good energy and originality. With a lot of songs revolving around social change, they set the new ago to a heavy down beat…..

Mountain biking, costumes, fun stations, prizes and beer … what’s not to love?
This year’s theme is Dress to Impress. It’s a fun event where the fanciest or most outrageous formal costumes (hers & his) will be rewarded.
Wanna race? That’s cool. Wanna ride at a social pace? That’s cool too. We’ll be handing out prizes to the fasties but there will also be prizes for the MOST AVERAGE time.

Skeena Wild – Salmon Jam

Drink some brews, share your views, sing some blues. This casual fundraiser and social event will be stacked with a seriously talented crew of local musicians who will be jammin’ for the salmon. We will have an open forum Q&A with SkeenaWild Executive Director to discuss environmental issues that concern our community. There will be a silent auction featuring local photography from past SkeenaWild Photo Contest participants. Tickets are $10 and available at Sherwood Mountain Brewhouse or at the door. Jammers include Bobby Middleton, Sam Hogarth, Cody James, Nate Northridge, Mario Furtado, Andre Pipe, and Nathan Meakes.
